When I decided to come to art school, I made a conscious decision to do what I enjoy for a living. Not because it was easy, not for the money, but because it was time-consuming and exactly how I wanted to be spending my time. I came to art school to draw, and since then I have stopped drawing. That’s why I wanted this piece to be so heavily illustrative. I wanted to express the reason I first came to portfolio day, in hopes of making a connection with a student who might feel the same way.
